Kisspeptin-10 is a hypothalamic peptide that stimulates gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), triggering the pituitary release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). It plays a key role in regulating reproductive hormones in both men and women. Kisspeptin helps control ovulation and has been shown to improve egg quality and sperm motility in fertility treatments. In men undergoing testosterone replacement therapy, it is sometimes used in place of hCG to maintain natural testosterone production and prevent testicular atrophy.
Mechanism of action
Endogenous ligand for GPR54 (KISS1R); stimulates hypothalamic GnRH neuron activation, triggering pulsatile LH/FSH release for reproductive axis studies in neuroendocrine and fertility research models.
Lyophilized: −20°C, stable 24 months. Post-reconstitution: 4°C, use within 30 days. Protect from light.
Add 1–2 mL bacteriostatic water slowly along the vial wall. Gently swirl — do not shake. Allow 5–10 min for complete dissolution.
